Thunderstorm Candle

I was looking for a candle that could accurately mimic the scent of fresh rain (petrichor), and this candle met the mark. My only complaint is that, when lit, the scent doesn't disperse well throughout the room. For that reason, I wish the scent was stronger. Despite that one flaw, the candle is well-made and it shipped quickly.

I bought this candle to try out and see if it smelled like rain, I was surprised to find out it’s very similar in scent but not only did I get a candle, I was given a nice hand written note and a sample candle called “Cinnamon Cabin Hideaway”, I give this one to my mother, she said she really liked that one.

This is how I imagine a stroll through Monet’s garden would be. A sharp floral note, accompanied by fresh middle notes of earth and water, finishing with a soft base. Successful transport complete.

This candle smell exactly like petrichor, that early scent when the rain hits the ground, and I’ve been searching for that smell everywhere because is a hard scent to catch on a candle. This is now my favorite scented candle, I bought the small version just to see if it really gives me that early rainy scent and it does, so I will be purchasing the big one.

I can't begin to tell you how much I love Thunderstorm. I have been on the hunt for a Petrichor candle for months. Most were too sweet, soapy, and fake. This one smells like the raw, wet earth after a marvelous May rainstorm. I hope they never stop making it, ever. Thank you for making quarantine just a little sweeter.

I love thunderstorms in the summer. This candle perfectly captures the wet, earthy, green smell the air has after the rain has let up. The wax colour is a beautiful brilliant blue and the label is gorgeous. I’m 100% satisfied and this one is going on my list to buy in a bigger size.

I don't know how many candles I've bought that were called rain or something similar. But finally I've found this candle that smells like the real thing. I don't know how they did it but it is perfect rain smell.

This candle was a gift for someone who had frequently chased storms in the Midwest. She said the scent brought back fond memories of thunderstorms. LOL. She loves it.

It's a pleasant scent. Sort of like wet leaves. A bit fruity. Some kind of fungal undertone. Interesting.

This is possibly the best scentsation on the market. A must have candle.

I really love this scent. The wax melts give off a great throw. Not sure I would place it as a thunderstorm per se, but it's a great scent!

This is my honest review.
None of the candles I bought have a scent further than sitting right next to them and even then is very faint . I didn't expect a large throw from a 1 oz candle but I expected something. And I'm getting nothing. Not even the 4oz candles are doing anything. How can every candle I bought be a dud? Customer service was good but at the end of the day I have a $70 order ($80 if you count shipping) of candles that I can't smell.

I Absolutely love this scent!

I love supporting small businesses whenever I can, and I didn’t hesitate to order this candle when I came across it. But if I’m being honest, I couldn’t smell any scent coming off this candle, even after it had been burning for an hour. (And no, I don’t have Covid.) I really wanted to like this, but I don’t see myself ordering this again.

This one smells like the air right after a summer rain hits hot pavement and the street goes quiet. It’s clean, earthy, and a little moody. Comforting for those nights when I need peace.

Amazing scent throw with one cube and I can get several uses out of each. Smells very summery and unique with the petrichor and soil notes. My favorite so far!

Scent is amazing. Fresh and earthy

This is the best storm/rain scent I’ve ever smelled. If you buy rain candles or melts qnd feel like they’re missing something, this is the one you’re looking for.

Love this wax melt - its my favorite. So close to what I picture the smell to be after it rains.

Smells great, good throw

I tried the candles first and loved them but wanted a stronger scent that filled the room. The wax melts do just that! If you want a delicate scent go with the candles. If you want dramatic scent, the wax melts fill a large room with the scent of lovely fresh rain.
