candle has no scent. I asked for a return and refund due to their being no scent. they recommended burning the candle 3 to 4 hours for proper enjoyment. they condescendingly said "im sorry we won't break our policy for you" 🤡 a video store has a nostalgic scent of tapes and plastic, its unforgettable. this candle is none of those things.
We will not reward review extortion.
This customer threatened our shop with negative feedback while demanding a refund, then contacted and harassed our existing customers on social media. They burned the candle for approximately 10 minutes, refused to follow the recommended 3-4 hour first-burn instructions, and refused our offer to send a complimentary replacement. Instead, they continued demanding a refund.
Attempting to use negative feedback and harassment to obtain free products or money is not a legitimate product complaint. We will not be bullied into rewarding that behavior. As promised, our standing offer to send a replacement in accordance with our shop policy remains available.

I left an earlier review about the way the wicks burned unevenly prior. The company reached out to me with suggestions and ultimately, ended up replacing the candle.
The new candle burned immediately better and now our work area smells like vintage nostalgia. Great product, but even better service.

I have ordered this candle 5 times at least. I have gifted this candle to my boyfriend and also to a few friends as well. It’s a big hit, and people who come over are always drawn to it and open and smell it. I’m obviously a fan and think anyone who is either a 90s nostalgia nerd or movie buff will enjoy this as a gift. Also wanted to mention the scent is consistent across orders and every time I’ve gotten it, it’s been the same.
Brings back scents and feelings of a Friday night almost to a Proustian degree. The ambition alone is worth four stars. What a concept! Customer treatment was sweet as well.
Had a lot of fun nights with these candles watching classic horror movies during the Halloween season. Highly recommend this brand. :)
I’ve been looking for ‘nostalgic’ candle scents to pair with certain activities, and I came across Dio— amazing candles! Very specific and unique scents. I’ve never had a soy candle before, but I really enjoy this one. Smells just like Blockbuster!

Recently purchased my first Dio Candle! Naturally my mind went straight to nostalgia. How could you possibly capture a scent from my childhood? Well. Boom. Dio got it right! Can’t believe how much a scent took me back to a simpler time! More candles will be purchased!

If you are confused about the notes carpet fiber and dust... Trust me i was too! But also trust me when i say this candle actually smells lovely. I thought it would being me blockbuster nostalgia but if I'm being honest apparently I just don't remember what blockbuster smelled like. It does give me kettle corn though and i think that's just as good!

I have to say, the candles I bought have far exceeded my expectations. The packaging was professional, the shipping was fast, and the pricing for such great customs scents was very reasonable.
I smelled Thunderstorm first, right out of the box. The first thing that hit me was that great ozone scent! I do not know how you got that so right, but you did! Then when I lit it, it reminded me of that wonderful smell when a very dry ground first gets damp from the start of the first rain of the season. Wonderful! It is so calming.
I then took the lid off of Video Store, Holy Cow! This candle is a time machine. It is the perfect encapsulation of exactly how a video store smelled in the 80s and 90s! The buttered popcorn hits you right away. After I lit it (to get the full effect) in addition to the popcorn, there it was... that dusty smell of a video store carpet, and that hint of plastic VHS covers! There was even a slight sugary candy scent. I have never smelled anything as interesting, satisfying, and comforting than this candle in my life!
I even got a nice handwritten note thanking me for my purchase.
I highly recommend this company and their fine products.

It was great, the item smelled good, it matched the description, it wasn't destroyed, and the extra candle was great as well, if I wanted to get another candle, I would buy it here.
