Throwback to this Friday evenings at the HS Fottball field. I really like the initial notes that combine for the fresh grassy fragrance. The rising aspects of nighttime scents with the spearmint and mahogany floating underneath reminds one of typical maleness of the game. These scents ride above the floral jasmine as one would expect given the established notes. The scent I am least familiar with is the apricot, which I am sure helps make the blend work, but I cannot define that aroma individually.

It’s a real memory tickler that’s for sure. The throw is solid and allows the more complex elements to hang a bit in the air.

I like the early notes…what are they? Grass. Nighttime scents - spearmint/mahogany. Masculine preferences despite jasmine can't quite define the apricot,though it may be the scent I'm not familiar with.

The Great Barrier Reef brings me memories of Finding Nemo and the ride of the turtles as the hippiest of the turtles sings “Flow.” It’s just what one can easily imagine the elements of open seas with a light fruity breeze drifting across the sea from the nearby islands.

One can almost see the myriad rainbows of colored fish as they dart by with the languorous movement of the larger sea creatures as their background.

The pineapple and orange are sweeter than usual in this blend, with the sea salt, coral and water accords adding an essence that finds its home in the great southern Pacific. This has a creamy texture to its notes top to base. I find it easy to melt into this scent.

My guess is "orchid, chamomile, water, spiced apple blossom, sandalwood and cedar." I love all Dio candles. My favorite is treating myself to an order large enough that I get the "Guess the Scent" game candle. The candles are always so amazing. I love the mystery of not knowing what it is-and they are always soooo good! The shipping is fast and it really feels like Christmas or my birthday to open the box and always find a little surprise gift from the seller. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love the personal touch. I just made a huge order as my own birthday gift and I know it is a gift I would love unwrapping.

I liked this far more than I thought I would. Almost like drinking a Vernor's! Ginger notes are good. And the fizz? Wow. This is what I couldn’t imagine, but it is truly there. Citrus notes are dampened by the Ginger/Fizz.
It is quick scenting in minutes. This I may be able to go for, again and again.

Shipping was fast!! On time!!! And so comfy!!! I ordered a purple for me and a green one for my lady and let me tell you they are so comfy!!!! The fabric is so soft!!! Definitely think I might need me a couple more of these!!!!!

Being from NYC originally, I have very strong scent memories of the city. I must admit this doesn’t approximate those olfactory memories of mine, but, wow, what an enjoyable scent profile. I do love this scent.
It may because I have such a preference for some of the notes here. The Bergamot and Rain accords are among my favorites reminding me of rain-washed city streets that have their own distinction. The newspaper and ink are very subtle. The bottom notes offer a very familiar base that adds a wet freshness that hints at the glitzy nightlife. Riding through all of it is a slight spicy apple that keeps things crisp.

Surprised is the only word. I had no idea, and not at all what I expected. This is a really great Water Scent…but it’s really an alternative to other water scents, making it unique and unusual in the most pleasant of ways.
The Sea Salt and Ocean Spray are the most distinctive scents. The fruitiness is an added surprise when the Orange Blossom comes through. The ozone adds that freshness you associate with the best sea air.

The slightly woody base allows one to almost hear the creaking and smell the saltiness of an ancient wooden pirate ship.
This is a surprisingly special blend.

A fine elucidation of aromatic hot sands and refreshing oases. Sweet overtones ride over sandalwood base notes. The Frankincense and Myrhh add the resinous top and mid notes. But you’ll notice a slight fruity date note, too.

This is now a seasonal favorite.

221B BAKER STREET is an unbelievably comfortable scent. With the early wafts of notes of tobacco, paper, coffee and vanilla are very warming and inviting. The blend with the hint of leather and musk transports one to Victorian London and the crackling fire as the banter of Holmes and Watson challenging themselves to the latest impossible puzzle hums in the background.
Perfect when reading a leatherbound old mystery favorite. No worries here. “It’s elementary, my dear Watson!”

I have now purchased in excess of 70 different scents. Why? Simple…they are GREAT scents. I have not been disappointed. I have a few top faves…but nearly 50 are winners. Even the ones I didn’t particularly like are not a disappointment. Rather, I’m learning those that scents I don’t particularly care for and avoiding them for the moment, though I’m always on the lookout for the right blend that may yet persuade me to take another chance.

I have been thrilled with the customer service, and most everything has shipped within three days of ordering and arrives accordingly. No complaints after 5 large orders.

So far, only one melt in one order was mixed up, and even so, I was happy enough with the one I received to have no complaints or felt the need to return it. A testament to their overall quality. With the number of melts I’ve already ordered, I am pleased that there has only been the one.

[update] One of the things I don’t mention enough is color. The wax color adds a great visual element that often can and will ‘color’ the emotional connection to the candles and melts. Though it may be a subtle suggestion to me, there is no question that it is a well thought out effect on the part of the creators. And I prefer the colors used by many in the industry versus those who only use undies waxes. Though they can be just as strong, I prefer the leg-up I get from the various colors helping to define where my mind should venture. [end update]

With so many incredibly diverse scents from heady floral and bakery aromatics to the bright, fruity, airy, water and masculine that are my particular favorites. There is a wide variety of nearly 350 amazing scents to choose from, and each candle/melt offers the buyer an amazing magical journey.

Wasn’t sure how much I would like this as I often find the more exotic…so called, Eastern/Middle Eastern scents…a bit cloying. This is also true of those scents identified as “perfumey.”

This particular one I found the best of the ilk. It’s exotic. The coriander adds an almost peppery quality. Add in the easy, light tobacco, with the vanilla underneath. Warm breezes over desert sands. I don't know why this scent family is associated with Middle East. Moreso, I’m not sure why I know this having never travelled to that mystical part of our world? I am fascinated by the nature of scents, and how easily they can transport us to another place and time. Scents are so intimate and conjure up some of the most vivid memories of any of the senses.

This one, along with THREE WISE MEN, are my favorites in this category.

A very satisfying aromatic blend. Light aroma cold, but warms nicely and the notes all mix into the reminiscent scents of a quiet all night poker game. Vanilla base is a light constant. The light cigar tobacco aroma permeates reminding one of a heavily brocaded pool room in an old English Manor House. The Cherry and light spice add a richness and depth.
Nice all around, easy to take and decent throw. A clear winner.

There are many variations on the theme of Masculine Cologne Scents among many brands. At DIO they offer myriad scents in this category. Of all of them, Gentleman’s Teakwood rises to the top.
It’s not overwhelming. Still it has a decent and pleasant throw.

It’s a wonderful scent. The notes are distinctive and warming, and the mix adds to the complexity. Totally bracing. I’ve already purchased these twice and know I’ll purchase yet again. (After I try a few more of DIO’s great and unusual aromatic scents).

I tried this on a whim. Not sure if I would find myself in the middle of a heavily incensed old style head shop or not. I was so very happily surprised with the warming charms of this particular scent, that I know I will be exploring more of the Chakra Collection over time.
It is very relaxing and teases the olfactory sense to take an inner journey.

Not only was I happy with the scent, but it is my third favorite DIO scent at the moment.

I must say I have now tried nearly 70 different scents, and though there are some I really don’t care for (One would be surprised if I liked them all, as we all have different and changing tastes). However, of that group purchased there are more than 50 that I enjoyed, and I think you will, too.

All true. I have discovered a variety of Grapefruit scented variations among many brands. I find grapefruit easier to lose myself in rather than the tarter and more astringent Lemon scents.

Though Sage is not a particular favorite, it is subsumed here beneath the Salty accords and brightness of the fruit scents. I also enjoy the oaky wood riding over the leafy greens. Water and Air families rather than Wood.
